Born in Ankara, Metin Akman received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from METU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences and his master's degree in International Economic Law from Bilkent University Faculty of Law.
Mr. Akman started his professional career at Unilever and then continued his career as an entrepreneur. Mr. Akman served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Nutreco - Trouw Nutrition Turkey and currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at Anako Yumurta Ürünleri, Atıken AŞ and Yuniko AŞ, a joint venture with Schaffelaarbos based in the Netherlands. He is also a member of the Board of Trustees of Yaşar University and an Independent Board Member of Pınar Süt and Viking Kağıt.
He is a Board Member of TGDF, YÜSAD Egg Products and Producers Association and Chairman of OECD BIAC Food & Agriculture Committee.
