M. Serdar Palabıyık

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Serdar Palabıyık completed his undergraduate, graduate and doctoral studies at Middle East Technical University, Department of International Relations. He then worked as a postdoctoral visiting researcher at the European University Institute in Florence. Between 2010 and 2023, Mr. Palabıyık served as a faculty member and vice chair of the Department of Political Science and International Relations at TOBB University of Economics and Technology (2018-2023) and is currently teaching at the same university. Palabıyık's main research interests are political history, history of Ottoman diplomacy, Turkish foreign policy and critical geopolitics. He has published articles in journals such as New Perspectives on Turkey, Bulletin of School of Oriental and African Studies, Turkish Studies, Journal of Asian History and Middle Eastern Studies, and book chapters in Routledge and Palgrave Macmillan. Since 2023, he has been the Secretary General of the Beer and Malt Producers Association. He is married and has one child.
