Demir Şarman started his career as a Financial Audit Specialist at Arthur Andersen Turkey in 1993 and joined Anadolu Group Beverage Division (Anadolu Efes) as Financial Controller in 1997. Between 1997 and 2019, Mr. Şarman held various managerial positions in the Group in Turkey and abroad, and served as the founding General Manager of Anadolu Etap. In 2019, he was appointed as the President of Anadolu Group's Agriculture, Energy and Industry Group, a position he still holds. Elected as the President of the Federation of Food and Beverage Industry Associations of Turkey (TGDF) in January 2022, Mr. Şarman was re-elected for a new three-year term in November 2024 and also serves as the Vice President of the World Fruit Juice Union (IFU).
Demir Şarman graduated from Middle East Technical University, Department of Economics and received his MBA from the University of Chicago. He also holds a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) authorization certificate.
