Born in 1951 in Gaziantep, Necati Göksu is the son of a merchant father. After attending primary school in Gaziantep, Göksu decided to go into trade during his middle school years and started his business life by wholesaling delicatessen and grocery products such as cheese and oil alongside his father in Elmacı Bazaar, where the best merchants of Gaziantep were located. Göksu moved to Istanbul with his family in 1967. Together with his father and brother, he established Gaziantep Food Market in Fatih, Istanbul. In 1972, Göksu started wholesale food business with the company he established in Unkapanı named Gaziantep Ticaret and started to produce halva with his father-in-law Habeş Seyidoğlu between 1987-1999. Göksu took all patent, license and name rights in 1999 and established Seyidoğlu Halva Jam factory and continued its activities as a separate company. Göksu and his son Mehmet Göksu set the goal of expanding the business, which started with a daily production of 150 kg of halva and jam, together with his son Mehmet Göksu. Göksu has reached a daily production capacity of 30 tons of halva, 20 tons of tahini, 40 tons of jam, 10 tons of hazelnut cream with cocoa, with its expert staff of 600 people in its Hadımköy integrated facilities, which was established on an area of 8000 m² in 2001 and later expanded to 20,000 m². Seyidoğlu, which currently exports to 40 countries, has become a food giant whose products are sold all over Turkey with its 350 product range and which is shown with its finger in the sector.
