Murat Tarakçıoğlu is the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Cargill Foods Middle East, Turkey & Africa.
Joining Cargill in 1996 in the finance department, Mr. Tarakçıoğlu became the Financial Affairs Leader of the Corn Processing Unit in 2001 and Commercial Director in 2004. In 2005, Mr. Tarakçıoğlu was appointed General Manager of Cargill Turkey and in 2008, he assumed responsibility for business development in North Africa and the Middle East. In line with the regional success achieved in a short period of time, Cargill Turkey organization was restructured as Cargill Gıda Middle East, Turkey and North Africa in 2014 and became the management center of the entire region. Murat Tarakçıoğlu is the chairman of the board of directors of the Cargill Foods Middle East, Turkey and Africa organization, which has expanded to include South Africa as of 2018.
He is also on the board of directors of the MEFSCO joint venture, a starch and sweeteners joint venture in Saudi Arabia.
Murat Tarakçıoğlu started his career as an auditor at Ernst & Young and holds a degree in Business Administration from Boğaziçi University.
