S. Tarık Tezel was born in Istanbul in 1961. He graduated from the Department of Interior Architecture at the State Academy of Fine Arts (Mimar Sinan University) in 1987 as a “graduate interior architect”.
After his graduation, S. Tarık Tezel worked abroad for a while and then managed his own architectural office between 1989 and 1994. In 1994, he assumed the position of Advertising and Public Relations Manager at SÜTAŞ.
S. Tarık Tezel served as the Assistant General Manager of Purchasing and Logistics at SÜTAŞ between 1998 and 2007, as the Head of Supply Chain at SÜTAŞ between 2007 and 2012, and in 2011, he was appointed as the General Manager of Agricultural Activities Inc. In 2011, he was appointed as the General Manager of Agricultural Activities Inc. (TARFAŞ) within the SÜTAŞ Group. Mr. Tezel currently serves as the Deputy Chairman of the Board of Directors of SÜTAŞ in addition to this position.
S. Tarık Tezel became a member of the Union of Dairy, Meat, Food Industrialists and Producers of Turkey (SETBİR) in 2002. Between 2002 and 2012, S. Tarık Tezel served as a member of SETBİR Board of Directors and as Vice Chairman of SETBİR Board of Directors from 2012 to 2016, and was elected as the Chairman of the Board of Directors at the SETBİR General Assembly on March 28, 2016. Mr. Tezel held this position until 2021 and served on the TGDF Board of Directors between 2018 and 2021. In the last general assembly held in November 2024, Tezel was re-elected as a member of the TGDF board of directors.
